Course Objectives / Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course students will:
- Realize the role of the Law and the Institutional framework that governs school legislation in their daily administrative work.
- Get to know the Law and the Institutions that govern school education and how they affect the way education policy is shaped and exercised.
- Understand the points of convergence and differentiation of the Law of education in relation to the rest of the Law and which stem from the particular characteristics of educational organizations and from the nature of the teaching profession.
- Familiarize themselves with EU Law and Institutions in order to design and implement educational policies and training programs that serve the European Senate and implement European requirements.

Περιγραφή μαθήματος
Each educational system is in line with the respective social, economic, technological needs of a specific state which, with clearly defined, to a greater or lesser extent, legislative interventions formulates and determines its educational policy.
In addition, the fact that in the context of European Unification, every national law is now interpreted and applied in a globalized environment is an important factor that makes it difficult to interpret and apply it correctly as European or international requirements in turn determine national educational politics.
The current legal framework that governs the Greek education system is considered particularly labyrinthine, which makes its interpretation often dysfunctional by teachers in positions of responsibility.
This course aims to provide a comprehensive knowledge of the general Greek Education Law and the Institutions that govern school education as well as the Institutions and the respective policies that have been proposed by the EU for education. It aims to shield future education executives in order to make decisions based on the rules of law and the respective legislative, jurisprudential and regulatory educational developments in order to ensure the most effective and objective solution of the problems that arise.
